The world is in midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Previously known as B.1.617.2, the variant was first discovered in India in February, where it contributed to a horrific wave of infections which started in the spring: The Economist estimates that there have been more than 1m covid deaths in India this year. The delta variant has spread rapidly across borders, too. According to GISAID, the mutation has been identified in at least 70 countries. The delta variant is the most dangerous SARS-CoV-2 mutation yet.1
Mutations of Spike protein in SARS-COV-2 (2019nCOV) delta variant B.1.617.2 lineage
Two of the spike mutations are at key residues in the RBD (L452R and T478K), two are in the N-terminal domain (T19R and FR157-158Δ).2.

GeneMedi pseudotype virus (pseudovirus) of SARS-COV-2 (2019nCOV) delta variant B.1.617.2 lineage
Taking responsibility to help accelerate the COVID-19 vaccine and therapeutic antibody discovery and development, GeneMedi had developed the pseudotype virus (pseudovirus) of SARS-COV-2 (2019nCOV) delta variant B.1.617.2 lineage, which will meet the evaluation of the efficacy of COVID19 vaccines and therapeutic antibodies.
